We believe people matter. Every single person who contributes to the process of getting our clothing to you is paid fairly, and works in comfortable, safe working conditions. No harmful pesticides and chemicals are used at any point through the process, ensuring employees are not harmed. All of our clothing is cut and sewn in NY.
We’ve searched far and wide to find only the best organic fabrics free of the traditional pesticides and chemicals that traditionally pollute our land and bodies. All of our fabrics are dyed using non-toxic, low impact, environmentally friendly dyes to ensure your little ones' safety.
We recognize the fashion industry can have adverse effects on the environment, so we do everything in our power to reduce our impact on Mother Earth. We are committed to bettering the fashion industry by leading by example. We only use fabrics and dyes that are environmentally friendly and do our best to create as little waste as possible by using our scrap fabrics instead of sending them to landfills. To help reduce carbon emissions in the supply chain, we use only local factories to cut and sew our products.
Lucy & Leo is committed to being a socially responsible business. We are currently working on a new project to reduce waste in the fashion industry, not only from our label but from other brands as well. This project will use scrap fabric to create items for people in need. We partner with local schools in Philadelphia and New York to teach kids, through sewing, about their immediate impact on the environment and their communities. We help them design and make stuffed animals and tote bags out of the scrap fabric that would otherwise end up in our landfills, and then donate the finished product to local shelters to help children in need.
