what was the thing that surprised you most when you became a mom?
The thing that surprised me most when I became a mom is my patience! From not panicking during her first gas pain, to her constantly rolling over during diaper changes, and letting her try to dress herself when we are in a rush to leave!
what do you wish someone else had told you about
parenting so you would be better prepared?
I had no idea that when I started feeding her solids, I would decrease or space out her bottles! I feel silly even admitting that but it's true. I kept wondering why she wasn't drinking her full bottle when she used to devour it!
what is your biggest accomplishment that you are most proud of?
My daughter is my biggest accomplishment that I am most proud of. She is bright, funny, friendly, smart, charismatic, empathetic, considerate, and well mannered.
what is your biggest pet peeve?
When other moms give unwarranted parenting advice or make parenting out to be a negative impact on life. My husband and I wanted to start a family and wouldn't change a thing about our daughter's presence in our lives.
If you had a day kid free to do anything you want, what would you do?
I would sleep in, get ready at my own pace, go food shopping without speeding through the aisles, get a manicure pedicure, clean or do laundry, make a meal that I normally don't have the time to make after work, and watch Fixer Upper on HGtv!
