M.O.M.-Lilie

Lilie is a native Philadelphian who works part time in video production and spends the rest of her time with 2 year old son, Grayson. Lilie and Grayson enjoy exploring the numerous parks, story times, and music classes in Philadelphia.
what was the thing that surprised you most when you became a mom?
The amount of new and diverse friends I would meet. I have made friends with moms from around the block, Brazil, Spain, Las Vegas, etc., all with one common bond...Our kids. Although it started with our kids, our relationships have developed into true friendships that I hope to have for a long time.
what do you wish someone else had told you about parenting
so you would be better prepared?
I don’t think any advice would have better prepared me for motherhood. I heard it all before my son was born. “Sleep while you can, enjoy the newborn stage, make sure to spend time with your husband.” Until you actually go through the motions and experience parenting for the first time, you can’t truly understand anyone's guidance until you’re in it.
what is your biggest accomplishment you are most proud of?
Nursing my son for the amount of time that I did. We experienced many challenges along the way, and it sure wasn’t easy but I was determined to succeed.
what is your biggest pet peeve?
When moms are able to pull off white pants while taking care of their kids. They must be some sort of magicians.

if you had a day kid free to do anything you want, what would you do?

I would ride roller coasters all…day…long.
